Ayurvedic Health Counseling

Ayurveda is a 3,000 year old science from India that teaches us to live more sustainably. This practice allows us to find harmony within our body and with our natural environment. By learning to understand the manifestations of 5 elements (ether, air, fire, water, and earth) and 3 Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), we begin to naturally recognize which herbs, treatments, and food can balance each individual’s constitution. Living according to Ayurveda can lead to better sleep, less anxiety, happier digestion, enhanced focus, and higher energy. My background in Ayurveda comes from years of personal study as well as my formal Nama Ayurvedic Counselor Training through the former Asheville School of Massage and Yoga. I have studied extensively with teachers Indu Arora, Vishnu Das, Uma Thompson, Marek Sawicki, Ryan Strong, and Shala Worlsey, all of to whom I owe my understanding and love of Ayurveda.

With a 75 minute consult over zoom, we’ll examine your health history and your body’s unique needs. What are health patterns you’ve observed over your lifetime? How is your digestion, mood, and energy currently? By asking these questions (and many more) we’ll discover your prakruti and vikruti-which shows us what sort of specific diet, lifestyle, and herbal recommendations can benefit you.

what are your health goals?

In your first consultation, we’ll focus on understanding your needs, goals, and implementing a few small changes. We’ll start with simple food recommendations, a couple herbs, and a gentle schedule adjustment. If you choose to continue with regular health coaching, we’ll build on these adaptations each week.

let’s get started

Each consult is done over zoom and includes a one hour call. After which you’ll receive a personalized handout with recommendations (sent shortly after our zoom call). The initial consult fee is $110. Follow up consults an 45 minute- an hour long and cost $70. I can work with clients in any time zone. More questions? Email me!
