Sustenance +

As busy professionals we have our hands full with a toddler and need help preparing nutritious meals that our son can share. The recipes Izzy suggests are becoming staples for us. She visits once a week to prepare our favorites and we now look forward to leftovers for the rest of the week. The favorites list keeps expanding. Izzy is extremely efficient; what would take us a whole day (without childcare interruptions) gets done perfectly within 2-3 hours. That all said, we for sure are not taking advantage of Izzy’s full skill set — this is the quality of service we are talking about here, which is very hard, if not impossible, to match

what i offer

I’m passionate about food sustainability and food as our first medicine. Let me help you make the most of that CSA box this year, or create a meal plan that meets your family’s unique dietary needs. I’m here to get you excited about the food you can prepare in your kitchen, and help you see it through! Whether you’re just beginning a cleanse or are looking for regular help with weekly meal support, personal cooking is a great resource to help you kickstart your healthy eating habits. I have a wide experience with food preparation after working in the restaurant industry and cooking for families as a nanny for years. I also offer personal cooking to my postpartum doula clients.

how it works

Meal planning can work a few different ways. I can show up at your house and get creative with what you’ve got in stock, compile an entire meal plan and grocery list, prep the food so it’s easy to cook, and/or fully prepare the meals (and store them for the week). I usually prepare 4 entrees and two sides or snacks within a 3 hr window (this varies depending on the complexity and cook time of the dishes). I can also double batch meals so you have enough for the week and for freezing extras for later in the month. The food I prepare completely depends on your preference. Gluten-free, vegan, or have allergies? No problem! I specialize in creating meal plans designed specifically for your health needs. All I ask from you is that you have the kitchen essentials and plenty of storage containers, the rest I cover! Need me to pick up the groceries too? No problem! I do errand runs for a small fee.

so, what’s the cost?

Personal cooking costs $50 per hour. This is the same cost as my hourly postpartum doula rate, as I intend the services to be interchangeable for clients.

Currently accepting personal cooking clients for July 2o24 and beyond.
